Micronesian
Image Institute's Internship Program with Guam Community College to
Benefit Micronesia Challenge Communications Efforts
The
Micronesian Image Institute recently began an internship program with
the Guam Community College, giving graduating students in Visual
Communications a semester of hands-on work in the world of environmental
media and communications.
This year's interns are Erik Carter and Keith Quiblat, both of Dededo, Guam.
"GCC's visual communications department is the finest in Micronesia and
both Erik and Keith have plenty of experience in design and brand
development to contribute significantly to the Challenge, " says Dan Ho,
president of MII.
"This is a really great opportunity for the Challenge, as it offers
assistance in the area of communications which is always underfunded and
least prioritized. It is a way to energize our ongoing work in audience
building while using fresh, enthusiastic students to do it."
